So for a while now I've been fixating with PPD trying to get it to work with a DS4 controller and after numerous tries with trial and error and still nothing. I have found a way to do two-handed playstyle that was easy to figure out but the delay is really annoying. It's impossible to even do a double spam or even triple at that. I love PPD for its endless playable selection of songs from the site and such but when thing's like this happen I might as well go back to future tone (which is very boring at the moment playing the same songs) please just someone tell me some type of solution to solve this problem and hopefully soon enough PPD will fix this.

Delays? How do you trying to play on DS4? Using third party software?
If you have PPD version 0.9, you should have CSInput MOD. Activate it and play with D-Pad.

I use Xpadder and I'm trying to play with both the d-pad and face button because that's how you play when you play future tone with a controller normally and I checked to see if I have the Cinput mod and I do and it still doesn't do the trick. Maybe I to do something specific? But keep in mind I have no idea how to work with script. ^^;

You don't need to work with scripts at all.
Just have CSInput in your mod folder, activate it and that's it.
I'm not sure if xpadder have something to do with it.

I think you don't set the arrows key. For use CSinput mod you must set the arrows key of the ds4 with the PPD (or KeyConfiger) to the arrows key of ppd (for example the pink arrow button of the ppd must be associated to the left arrow of DS4) after that if you enable the CSimput mod the arrows of DS4 will be recognize as button

note: with CSinput activated the score and rank like standard or excellent will be shown but won't be saved,

I'm not in place to say because I got a PC controller but wouldn't CSInput see automatically the D-PAD without needing to set anything manually ?
And yes, CSInput does not register the score on the leaderboard.

I tried two profile, one withouth arrows key button (using the pad of the controller instead arrows key and CSinput don't recognize the arrows as button) and one profile with arrows set on PPD (CSinput work).
Maybe official controller for pc CSinput made it automatically.
I have a generic controller and ds3 and them must be set with arrow key

Yes, I believe for PC controllers, like my Logitech, CSInput sees the D-PAD automatically but I never went to look into it.
Sucks to hear you can't use your DualShock but maybe keep trying and let's hope something that let's you use them properly get implemented or something. Much luck my man. :)

How do you activate the CSinput mod?

You must have the last versions of PPD.
Open PPD and go in game, after the loading go into the menu (press square button), go in mod (press circle button on it) and check CSinput (press circle button on it), after that the mod it's active.

if don't work, try to change manually the arrows on PPD and associate them to the arrows of the gamepad.

CSInput can be found in the Script/Mod section, at Mod. It's the very first mod uploaded by the admin itself.

Thanks, using the d-pad works for me now. But is there a way to use the joysticks for the slide notes?

Joystick usage has not been implemented yet but it may be in the future, who knows.
