Yes that was a bug from PPD0.8.
Some people have this issue either, he can't see the text/font in-game. For now there's no actual way to fix this.
I recommend to use PPD0.7 or just wait the next update and hope that text/font issue get fixed.

KHC didn't know why the issues happened, but i know he still work on it.
