PPD doesn't pickup input from my controller anymore

The game doesn't register any input from my ds4 controller
no error log. the game doesn't give out any error.
it worked fine in first, but after I tried to install the japanese language pack to load the japanese font better it just stopped working.
I tried reinstalling the game but same result idk what to do and how to fix it, can someone help?
